Default New type of lockpick idea

Someone mentioned a type of chest that used to be in the game but anet decided to nerf.

So I was thinking, why not make a type of lockpick that would emulate the results a little. Basically when you use this lockpick to open a treasure chest it'll have the same changes of breaking as a normal one. But if it doesn't break you'll get 2-4 items instead of one. The only downside would be either they cost 3k or so instead of 1.2K or they'd be limited to drops only.

Why not just add more chests per zone? It'd achieve the same results, and it wouldn't encourage botters by making AI-controlled farmers no more effective...

Assuming that the old chests you are referring to are the ones that used to be in Dreadnaught's Drift.

Jon, it'd cost triple in order to get the pick and unless you have a few titles maxed out, even in normal mode you wouldn't be getting extra drops more than about half the time. You'd be getting mostly junk anyways, so I don't think it'd be a real problem.

Biostem, I might be happy with more chests as an alternitive.

I would prefer more chests only because it would reward hard mode a bit more, it would give more opportunities to work on your lucky/unlucky title, and it wouldn't help bots run to 1 chest for more items to further flood the market with...
